Purple Records does not have a full-time press officer and are not in business to stock second-hand CD shops. So new CD titles are mailed out to a few relevant magazines and fan-clubs on release.

Journalists wanting review copies of new titles are asked to contact us once they know a title is available and request copies (with a full mail address) as we do not maintain a lengthy promo list.

We will need to know where the review is intended for. In all cases it would be appreciated if reviewers add our web site details to the end of any reviews.

For journalists we have not dealt with before, some evidence of reviews making it into print is required. We are keen to help those making a living at this, but do not have the resources to service people unless they are bona fide freelance or staff reviewers.

Again, with some exceptions, requests from the many hundreds of rock review web sites cannot be handled.

For established magazines or journalists with a track record, it is occasionally possible to set up phone interviews with some of the artists represented on the label.

Cover scans and other images can be supplied digitally if this helps with a feature.
