Aachen
Reiterstadion, Soers, Germany : July 11th 1970. A set originally
issued as one of the first ever vinyl bootlegs back in late 1970.
Recorded during a three day German open-air rock festival, and
used as the basis for a number of bootleg titles. This version
has been restored from the best surviving source material and
sounds remarkably good. Gillan takes a back-seat for much of the
time as the band concentrate on two lengthy instrumentals and
a drum solo. This new edition replaces PUR 202 Space Vol 1 & 2.

Kjøbenhavns
Boldklub (KB) Hallen, Copenhagen, Denmark : March 1st 1972. Taken
from the audio master from the TV performance, fully upgraded
and remastered, the sound is way better than on the rather limp
VHS edition of some years ago, and allows us to listen to the
set afresh. Includes some of the earliest performances of Machine
Head tracks yet to surface, on a set which became the blueprint
for the rest of Mk 2's touring days. This new edition replaces
PUR 203D. More details

Perks & Tit was recorded at the San Diego Sports Arena, April 9th
1974, the last date of the intense five week American "Burn" tour -
and just three days after the infamous California Jam. The Sonic Zoom CD digi-pak edition was called Perks & Tit and came out in 2003. This reissue
comes in a new jewel-case package and sleeve to match the rest of the
rereleases and includes a descriptive booklet as normal. More

Long Beach Arena, February 27th 1976. This recording first surfaced as a famous bootleg, On The Wings Of A Russian Foxbat, in the late 1970s. It was originally first issued officially back in 1995. The four half inch two track reels have been located for this reissue, totally remastered by Nick Watson at Fluid Mastering to provide the best possible quality from the analogue original. Three bonus live tracks from an otherwise incomplete recording of a show at Springfield four weeks before are also included at the end of disc two.

Montreux Casino, Switzerland : Oct 4th 1969. An astonishing discovery,
this show was discovered on quarter inch tape, mixed live at the
time. Some overloads in places prevented a full-blown release,
but it remains one of the best live recordings yet to surface.
It's also a very early Mk 2 set, evident on the early version
of Speed King. Four Mk 1 songs remain in the set, including the
only known recording of Mk 2 covering Kentucky Woman. This new
edition replaces PUR 207D Kneel & Pray. More

A rare official archive recording from Deep Purple Mk 1’s USA debut
in October 1968, opening for Cream on their farewell tour of America
at the Forum in Inglewood, Los Angeles, California.
So little evidence of Mk 1’s live act remains that this tape - the
only surviving recording of the first incarnation of Deep Purple on
stage - is of great interest, with the band exhibiting a brash
confidence in front of 16,000 Cream fans. As a support act, Deep
Purple’s set was a little shorter than normal but despite the passing
of over forty years, it’s still an exciting experience. This new
edition replaces PUR 205 Inglewood. Expected in June 2009. More
