VAP Records issued a number of Deep Purple related titles in Japan during 2003/6, taking over titles previously released in Japan by Teichiku as well as some issued in Europe by Connoisseur, EMI and Purple Records. Although Purple Records UK didn't arrange the VAP deal, it was felt that it would be nice to have the label name reactivated in Japan.

There was nothing that has not been out in Europe and the interest for collectors were the card sleeves, with some designs different to those used elsewhere.

All the VAP editions are now deleted and the titles will now reappear on JVC in July 2008. We will keep you informed of any editions which might interest collectors.
